Our Projects

Eden Centre, High Wycombe

The project involved a complete shopping centre redevelopment in the heart of High Wycombe. GTA Civils designed extensive sewer diversions as well as below ground drainage and co-ordinated service layouts for the £130m retail centre development by Brookfield Construction (UK Ltd) – formerly Multiplex. The project includes 700,000 sq. ft of mixed used space, predominantly retail.

Eden Centre Shopping Centre Redevelopment

Charlton Riverside Shopping Park

GTA Civils completed the Civil Engineering Design, Section 278 Design, obtaining Local Authority, Environment Agency and highway authority approvals. The project was completed on time and within budget.

The project involved major branches of Sainsbury’s and M&S and a Costa Coffee unit. The cost of the project was £32m. Design work included: a major new signalised junction to Bugsby’s Way and Gallions Road, new roundabout access to the development and full drainage and external works design to the site. Large surface water storage tanks, located under the car park, were used to store peak surface water run-off before discharge to the Thames Water network.

Picket Piece Andover – Project Value £140m

Picket Piece is a new development of over 530 houses, located in Andover, Hampshire. This site proved an interesting challenge due to the steep topography, along with the need to provide a sustainable drainage system using permeable paving. The steep gradients permeable paving required concrete baffles within the construction makeup to maximise the use of the void space in the sub-base stone and prevent it from collecting at the low ends of the site.

The design work included preparing Section 278 drawings for two new roundabouts and the design of the levels, drainage and makeup for new sports pitches.
